Scinus bioreactor NG
The SCINUS bioreactor NG is a closed system for the controlled cultivation of cells, supporting R&D as well as GMP processes. Combined with either the single-use Adherent or Suspension Bag it provides a scalable system for large-fold expansion. The temperature-controlled hardware enclosure houses the Single-use Bags on a unique rocking platform that provides an optimally homogenized culture environment with minimal shear stresses. The platform enables true scaling in culture volume, thanks to a unique roller/clamp system, allowing culture from minimal to clinically relevant amounts in one run. The system operates stand-alone with a touchscreen interface, and is compatible with industry-standard controller software for process control, monitoring and data acquisition.

SCINUS culture bag Adherent
The SCINUS culture bag Adherent is used in combination with the SCINUS bioreactor NG to provide a volume-scalable culture environment for the cultivation of adherent cell types, such as mesenchymal stromal cells. The bag includes a cell cultivation container with an expandable volume and associated tubing. The unique volume scaling allows an increasing volume, starting at 100 mL up to 1.4 L, in one run. Combined with microcarriers, the available surface area can be gradually increased to a total area of at least 35.000 cm². Integrated sensor technology measures oxygen, pH and pressure at the site of culture. The versatile tubing set with weldable tubing makes it easy to add medium, remove waste or take a representative sample of cells growing in the system (as part of R&D or QC procedure during GMP process), all while maintaining a closed workflow. Compatible with SCINUS single-use bottles.

The SCINUS culture bag Suspension is used in combination with the SCINUS bioreactor NG to provide a volume-scalable culture environment for the cultivation of suspension cell types, such as T-cells. The bag includes a cell cultivation container with an expandable volume and associated tubing. The unique volume scaling allows an increasing volume, starting at 100 mL up to 1.4 L, in one run. Integrated sensor technology measures oxygen, pH and pressure at the site of culture. The versatile tubing set with weldable tubing makes it easy to add medium, remove waste or take a representative sample of cells growing in the system, all while maintaining a closed workflow. Compatible with SCINUS single-use bottles.

SCINUS Single-use Bottles
A selection of single-use bottles are designed for the use with the SCINUS bioreactor NG. These sterile, ready-to use bottles are used to add medium, remove waste, or add any other components needed during cultivation, such as microcarriers for adherent cell culture. Supplied with weldable tubing they are the ideal addition to your cultivation process in the SCINUS bioreactor NG.
- SCINUS bottle – 1 L: to add medium or remove waste from the cell culture
